Annapurna Range Heli-Tour

Named after the Hindu goddess Annapurna (the Goddess of Plenty), the Annapurna Region lies in central Nepal. The chief mountains in this region include the Annapurna massif, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhare and Himchuli. The Annapurna massif, which lies between the Kali Gandaki and Marshyangdi river valleys, is made up of six major peaks over 7,200m: Annapurna I(8091m), Annapurna II(7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Gangapurna (7455m) and Annapurna South(7219m). It covers a distance of 40 miles and encompasses within its range numerous other lesser peaks. One of the most popular trekking trails in the world, the Annapurna Circuit, lies in this region.
