Langtang Trekking

Trekking to the north of Kathmandu is relatively less crowded and underrated trekking destination in Nepal. Langtang region is most accessible trekking region and well suited to one-two weeks itinerary.  The scenery here is captivating and the trek become more adventurous as you step further beaten off track. Ganesh Himal with a range of 6,000m and 7,000m lies to the west of Langtang. To the west, is Gosaikunda and Helambu region which can be combined with Langtang trek to make the trip from 7 days to 20 days. The region was designated as the first Himalayan national park of Nepal in 1971 and majority of inhabitants are Tamang and Sherpa whose religious practice, dialects and ritual are similar to those of Tibet. The jungles in this region have temperate and sub-alpine vegetation. It inhabits abundant wildlife including Pika, Thar, monkeys, deer and migratory birds.

Langtang region gives you the privilege to experience the fascinating culture and tradition of ethnic tribe. You also get opportunity to visit holy Lake of Gosaikunda which has religious importance for both Hindus and Buddhists.
