Thapa Peak, also known as Dhampus Peak, is located at the eastern part of Dhaulagiri region. It is the perfect amalgamation of snow, ice and rock with spectacular views. These includes awe-inspiring pyramid of Nilgiri (6,940m), Tukche Peak (6,920m), Mukut Himal (6,639m), Sita Chuchura (6,611m), Hongde Peak (6,556m), Thorong Peak (6,484m), Yakawa Kan (6,482m), Tsarste (6,347m) and Tangu Peak (6,197m).
Thapa Peak climbing route goes through dense cluster of rhododendron, oak, deciduous trees and juniper. The trial passes Myagdi Glacier, Dhaulagiri Base Camp, and French Pass and enters to hidden valley to reach Dhampus Pass. Hidden valley is most scheduled snow valley in Nepal and offers numbers of exploratory treks which can made before or after climbing Thapa Peak. Additionally, it stretches to world’s deepest valley!
Thapa Peak summit expedition is not very technical; ideal for fit individuals with little alpine trekking and camping experience.
We offer supported camping with high quality tents, mattresses and sleeping bags. Our guide, assistant guides and porters are experienced and well-known about the climbing route. All the staffs are well-equipped and insured. We offer an expert cook with full camp kitchen who serves hygienic and nutritious meals. Plus we provide Oxygen cylinder, Portable Altitude Chamber (PAC) along with medical kit with proper medicines. All the gears we use meets EU/UIAA standards.
